@FullHeartGrit @FF_XIV_EN I'd let people play one character per region atleast so what 4 characters if they play in all 4 like me for example. But most only do 1/2 iirc

@PVPAshXIV @FF_XIV_EN I think the 2nd point could be a little more disruptive initially but overall better for the queue, alts are a problem but there's also legit reasons for running them too, I know of people who like to practice off jobs/don't want to be known because of harassment on alts

Although there may not be a clear solution to wintrading/harassment in FFXIV PVP, it's clear that lack of moderation in-game leads to normalized bad behavior where people are emboldened to freely harass in/outside of game. There is a real human cost to lack of mods. @FF_XIV_EN

I'm still trying to rank up in NA Ranked CC atm twitch.tv/pvpash I'm hoping i can lock in tonight and actually get some big games in. Recently started playing Black Mage in ranked on my main, so you might see me swap jobs more often.

@FullHeartGrit @FF_XIV_EN Maybe my take is wild but I think two solutions would actually help are.. 1) leaderboard goes from peak to current. 2) one character per region per service account being ranked eligible. ( Aka we could have one ranked eligible character for EU/na/JP/oce ) 1/2

It’s 2026, we are gonna be 6 expansions deep into FFXIV soon. Can we stop with the weird gatekeepy behavior if someone doesn’t want to play through 250 hours of story to be able to play some of the best MMO raid encounters ever made? Heaven forbid someone asks you a small lore question if they start getting interested in the story after starting the game 10 years late. Are we really gonna keep driving people away with this weird NIMBY ritual? Just use your social skills (lol) and answer the small question, suggest they start a story alt on their downtime, or direct them to a synopsis video on YouTube. Crying about “story skippers” this deep into a game’s development cycle is peak cringe. If they set up a skip to Dawntrail for new characters to jump into the new story arc I and many others feel like it would be beneficial for the game’s long term health. While the Hydaelyn/Zodiark arc is great storytelling it’s also not a sacred cow for people to clutch pearls over. At the end of the day, it’s a game to be played. We’re all better than this and should start acting like it.
