It's #WorldPHDay 🫁 A day for the global community to come together and raise awareness of #PulmonaryHypertension. Today, we're saying thank you to our global PH community. For your dedication to improving diagnosis, treatment and care for all those with PH. From our Board of Trustees and Scientific and Medical Advisory Council, to our Workstream and Task Force Leaders, our PVRI Digital Scientific Organising Committee, and Community Call Hosts, your commitment drives everything we do. We’re proud to be part of a community working towards a world without pulmonary vascular disease. 🗨️ "PVRI has been instrumental in helping me build international collaborations to move the field of PVD forward scientifically, particularly in understudied aspects of PH" It's quotes like this that show the strength of our global community. Thank you 💜

There is an invisible emotional impact to living with PH. New insights from the PH Global Patient Survey (PHGPS) highlight the emotional impact on those living with PH: The PHGPS: Physical & Psychosocial Impacts on Health-Related QoL onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/pu… 📊 36% feel misunderstood, often wanting to discuss emotional symptoms but experiencing a lack of empathy This finding highlights the importance for free, or at least affordable, psychological care as a mandatory part of PH treatment. New research in Pulmonary Circulation 🫁 Schistosomiasis-Associated PAH in Brazil: A Call to Action for Enhanced Diagnostic Recognition 📆 16 April 2026 🔢 16(2), e70302 👤 Camila M. C. Loureiro, Ricardo A. Correa, Roberto José de Carvalho Filho, Brian Graham, Ghazwan Butrous, Rudolf Oliveira This review article has been published by PVRI's Infection in Pulmonary Vascular Disease (iPVD) Consortium. During PVRI 2025 Rio, the annual iPVD symposium addressed the most relevant aspects of the epidemiology, diagnosis, and prevention of Sch-PAH in Brazil. This review summarises the main discussed topics and serves as a call to increase efforts to understand the disease burden better and enhance diagnostic proficiency. This reinforces the power of global collaboration, turning discussions at a PVRI annual congress into research that drives change in PH. ➡️ Read the full review article: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/pu…
