@KaiKai2492 It’s a shame that people reject sincerity, but irony poisoning is the result of decades of calling sincere things ‘cringe’ or “trying too hard’, because it’s really easy to mock someone’s beliefs when you don’t really believe in anything.

This is low-key a problem pretty much everywhere in the west nowadays. Superhero movies? Gotta make fun of themselves constantly, video games? Look at DMC5 and MGR and how many people think all there is to those games are the memes. Anime? "Goku is a bad dad" started as a meme and became a real take. I think society has an issue with self-awareness. So many lack it entirely and don't realize how morally inconsistent they are or are so self-aware they can't take anything that might be a little cheesy or silly sincerely.

@Forcer69 I’m just not a fan of timed mechanics, like how the motes arbitrarily“wear off”. I feel it’s the only decent thing involving The Nine they managed to come up with, and even then they screwed it up by not giving it the To9 loot and cosmetics lol

@DestinyNostalgi If this came back as a 1:1 mode, I’d be all over it. Update the rotating bosses every season, have the fallen-themed loot return, and they could just reskin them annually with different elements and frames, until all combinations are made. (Shinies are just element-same chromas)

June 9th will be the day that Destiny 2 finally rises from the ashes like a phoenix and sets course for the greatest comeback in videogame HISTORY. ALL (yes all) of Beast Mode Unlimited will be there. Applications to out totally alive and thriving clan will soon be open to all.

@KnownAsSys Smuggling missions feel like they take twice as long as the other missions. That said, making one new activity at a time hasn’t helped D2 at all; we burn out on running it to the point that when it appears in the portal, I don’t feel like running it; even after years.

Like, lawless frontier is just about the most boring shit I've ever played. Timerslop, healthgateslop, waiting for spawns slop. On top of that shinies are hella rare, and invalidate every non-shiny drop. I cannot believe that people still hype up this dlc the way they do

@NuCaloric Going back to the actual rarity system made so much more sense than Tiers ever did. At least they were different colors. When everything is 'legendary', nothing is.

Bad photo, but I also always liked tiered engrams visually before Tier 5s became the vast majority. The extra colors added to what pops out of a chest always made EoF-era loot remind me of those Mario Galaxy star candies or something. Weird comparison probably but I found it fun

@CtrlAltDelrith "there's not enough people making decisions getting fired." This, times a thousand. Sony needed to be swift and decisive when it came to ousting leadership. At the very least, they should have clawed back the acquisition shares to recoup some of that $3.6b spent.

I don't think I've ever seen a game start to change its core identity faster lol People can't even argue now if Bungie screwed up making an insanely hardcore PVP focused game because Bungie themselves are admitting they screwed up by shifting to PVE modes in Marathon after explicitly saying it wasn't that type of game. I totally understand that there's people who genuinely enjoy Marathon's PVP and core loop, that's awesome for you. I appreciate that. I'm referring more so that most of Bungie's entire dedicated fanbase is PVE oriented and were begging/telling Bungie for years with Marathon that it wouldn't appeal to them. Bungie, of course, didn't listen Now that the numbers are visible they're like "oh shit turns out people know what they like" Man I wish I could burn hundreds of millions of dollars and years of development to learn something people told me before I started. Learnin' something that I already had the data to see. I want the best for Bungie but man there's not enough people making decisions getting fired. You should hear how upset some of the developers internally are about leadership decisions. It's rough dude. Homies/devs who follow me; sorry you've got brick wall bosses.

My best guess, based on Bungie's history, is we'll see their marketing campaign spin up for the Major update earliest next week, but more likely the week of May 28th. June Major Update is scheduled for June 9th if I'm not mistaken...

@Mayhemexo25 @KnownAsSys To be fair, Marathon was delayed from 2025 to 2026. I speculate that when 2026 began, everyone was pulled to get it done by March; hence the 3-month delay on D2. Leadership has no idea what it’s doing.
