#UVA outscored 24-11 in an unfortunate 3rd quarter. Tons of offensive rebounds for the Frogs that led to second chance points. Suarez now with 31 points. The Hoos need an immediate response or the season will end tonight in Sacramento.

The Lady Hoos lead TCU 36-35 at the break. Defensively, Miles has been hard to guard in ball screens and Suarez has made them pay. But #UVA getting easy points off turnovers against one of the best defenses in the country. 20 more minutes for a spot in the Elite 8.

TCU’s Olivia Miles is drawing so much attention that Marta Suarez has been open several times. She is making the #UVA defense pay, already with 15 points in the half. Still, the Hoos’ offense has played well. Been a fun, competitive game thus far.

I met Coach in the dining hall in October 2003 ahead of the season. Weeks later, when camping out for the Duke game, Coach brought us donuts in the freezing cold and remembered my name. He was a decent man even though his tenure didn’t go as planned.

#UVA is doing just fine with Ryan Odom, but the spiritual successor to Tony is Ben McCollum. Watched Iowa live yesterday and they ran a lot of late shot clock sets to get open 3s, played great defense, and held Clemson to 25 points in the 1st half. Made me a little nostalgic.
