Making it an extension of yre tram network is arguably the most expensive option because of the cost of replacing the track and double tracking the whole line, as well as the cost of putting up overhead electric wires for the trams. heavy rail is by far the cheapest option

The remains of railbus 142059 have found a new home, after spending the last few years with the Poulton and Wyre Railway Society. The fibreglass driving cab front has been seen outside the carriage sidings at Blackpool North on the 17th September 2021. © Gary Severn.

Builder's plates from M51937, cleaned up and being kept in a safe place ready for painting and eventual refitting. We don't have M56484's plates as unfortunately they were stolen(?) during its stay at butterley.

All second class seats installed in m54484 bar one backrest at the very rear and the single seat at the front of the back section

Work has been started on stripping 54484's paint back to bare aluminium with the intention of repainting it back into its original livery of green with speed whiskers.

apparently @WyreRailway is another account tracking our progress but they last posted in 2020.. guess this account is the new one!

Today's update. The bufferbeam got its top coat, and we've started on the bonnet panels. Looking much more vibrant!
