Ronaldo shouldn’t be in any GOAT debate. There are players like Messi, Maradona and Pele who are in that conversation. Then there are pure goalscorers like Gerd Muller or Zlatan or Haaland. Ronaldo may be the best of all time in that category. That’s the conversation he’s in.

Whilst I appreciate the sentiment, much of Pele's career wasn't captured on film, so there is no way of watching it, and the same applies to Di Stefano and other greats like Stanley Matthews. I've watched a lot of footage of Maradona, and he was incredible, and like Best and Cruyf, he offered so much more than goals, but I also value consistency so highly, and what Ronaldo did for so long (alongside Messi) was phenomenal. I would say, this is more about giving Ronaldo the credit I feel is deserved and not a knock on other all timers.
