Our year 7&8 form reps had the opportunity to visit the @SeneddWales today. They were fortunate enough to meet Dawn Bowden MS, have a tour of the Senedd and learn all about the different parties and roles within the @WelshGovernment. Fantastic day with our pupils @1Penydre

Some members of Student Parliament visited phase 2 today before the opening to all pupils and staff after Easter. It was wonderful to see the fantastic facilities that will be on offer for our pupils next term @1Penydre

Red Nose Day 2025 ❤️ We had a bake sale, face painting, karaoke, Minecraft and a KS4 football match. Well done to all of our pupils and staff, an incredible £871.37 raised for @comicrelief 👏🏼👏🏼

Our annual visit to @JesusOxford with our senior student parliament was once again exceptional. Our pupils visited local sites learning about the history of Oxford, had an intriguing philosophy lecture and had the opportunity to consider their future at the college.

Great first evening at Gravelienes, proud to be representing Wales in this years Superschools. Early 6am start this morning with a busy day ahead. Swimming, athletics, then onto Bruges. #TeamPYD #TeamWales #Superschools

Fantastic day spent at @CollegeMerthyr for this years #StudentConference which centred around safeguarding. Our year 10 form representatives participated in workshops with @FearlessORG, @StreetDoctors, @SWPMerthyr & @theredcardwales. It was a very informative event 👏🏼 @1Penydre

Lovely afternoon spent at @pantysgallog meeting the future pupils of Pen y Dre. Members of our Student Parliament discussed what life is like in secondary school and answered many questions from year 6 about our school. We look forward to welcoming you next year ⭐️ @1penydre

Our senior student parliament were able to visit phase one of our new refurbishment and meet some of the team leading the project. It was a great opportunity for our pupils to get an insight into the construction and engineering work that is creating our new school @1Penydre

We are supporting #WorldMentalHealthDay by taking part in the #BritainGetTalking homework challenge. All pupils completed the task stating what was on their mind. We hope the task encouraged our pupils to talk freely about any of their worries and concerns
