“I am pleased to announce that TODAY my Administration officially filed the presentation and plans to the highly respected Commission of Fine Arts for what will be the GREATEST and MOST BEAUTIFUL Triumphal Arch, anywhere in the World. This will be a wonderful addition to the Washington D.C. area for all Americans to enjoy for many decades to come!” - President DONALD J. TRUMP

The proportion of First-class degrees awarded by UK universities was roughly 1 in 14 from the 1960s to 1990s. But over the last 30 years it has increased by 450% to 1 in 3. Is this progress? (Graph h/t HEPI)

NEW: I'll be breaking down my phone call with President Trump throughout the morning as I anchor from NYC 9am-1pm et on @NewsNation Here's the full transcript for transparency and quotes. PRESIDENT TRUMP: Hello? KELLIE MEYER: Hi, Mr. President this is Kellie Meyer with NewsNation can I ask you a couple questions I just saw your post on Truth social I wanted to ask you about it. PRESIDENT TRUMP: Go ahead. Fast. KELLIE MEYER: You mentioned the massive numbers of completely empty oil tankers coming to the U.S. what do you mean by this? PRESIDENT TRUMP: Just take a look out at the great seas of our world, they're all, many of them are heading to the United States to load up with oil. We have plenty of it. KELLIE MEYER: So is this because you're saying that Iran isn't opening up the Strait of Hormuz? PRESIDENT TRUMP: No, it's not because they are going to be open in the not-too-distant future. Iran's a failing nation. A very failing nation And it's gonna be opened up. But I think people are seeing that there are other alternatives to going through the Strait. KELLIE MEYER: Have talks started yet? (As of 6:15 a.m. ET on Saturday, no Iran talks had started yet. I called the President at 7:39 am et) Do you know? And can you trust the Iranians here? PRESIDENT TRUMP: Yeah they're starting, you don't know that. I mean you haven't been reading the news? KELLIE MEYER: Yeah they're starting, they're there but we don't know that they've officially begun. PRESIDENT TRUMP: Yes, they're started, darling. KELLIE MEYER: Do you feel they're acting in good faith? PRESIDENT TRUMP: I'll let you know that in a very short period of time won't take long. KELLIE MEYER: Do you think that, is it true that the intelligence is indicating that Iran doesn't know where all the mines are placed right now? Is that true? PRESIDENT TRUMP: I don't know. We know where they're placed. KELLIE MEYER: So can you help get them out? PRESIDENT TRUMP: We have the most, yeah, we've got the most sophisticated mine equipment in the world. We know it. We're just bringing it to the location. KELLIE MEYER: How do you think talks are gonna go today? PRESIDENT TRUMP: I have no idea. KELLIE MEYER: Are you hopeful? Or are you... PRESIDENT TRUMP: Whatever, otherwise we'll reset. We're ready to go. Ok. So long. KELLIE MEYER: Thank you Mr. President.

This is obviously unbelievably sad to read. But I really fail to understand why it takes a well trained medical system 3 months and an insisting mother to perform the first ultrasound. He is 22 (typical age of testicular cancer), he has a swollen testicle, which worsens despite a course of antibiotics, he develops abdominal pain (retroperitoneal lymph nodes typical site of metastases), what more information do you need to at least perform an ultrasound right after the failed course of antibiotics? To be fair: Testicular cancer generally yields great survival rates, even in the metastatic stage. The fact that he died just over a year after the first symptoms occurred, suggests a very unfavorable tumor biology. And, of course it’s captain hindsight talking here, but actually it’s not, because this should serve as a strong reminder for us HCPs that consistent symptoms should always be followed up with more diagnostics, irrespective of age. Sadly this won’t help him anymore, but hopefully the next person.

US Navy Osprey out on a jolly this morning. A loop around the Statue of Liberty and then up and down the Hudson by NYC.

Yesterday, four astronauts on Artemis II traveled farther than any humans in history. Thanks to @NASA and incredible American ingenuity. 🇺🇸

If I had the time and money, I'd start a news channel that never interviewed politicians, pundits, CEOs, or celebrities. Instead, after every major news item, there'd be a panel of expert historians & psychologists. The theme for today: narcissism and displaced aggression.

Happy St. Patrick's Day, New York.

Manhattan is red, white, and blue tonight. The new Chase tower is lit up with the Star-Spangled Banner. Happy Presidents’ Day. 🇺🇸

A very cute moment in the Sgt’s Mess at Mons Barracks, Aldershot, where The Princess of Wales met Irish Guards families after the St Patrick’s Day Parade ☘️ Vienna and Mila (aged 3) were VERY excited to meet Catherine 👑
