With great sadness, I regret to announce the passing of a legend in American surgery, Dr Frank Cole Spencer. Dr SPENCER assumed the chair in surgery at NYU/Bellevue in 1966, when he was only 34 years of age . His impact on the world of surgery cannot be measured in words.
