@GreenGold4Ever 100%. The voices and takes were more ubiquitous, too. Social media, for all of its societal ills, does invite some variety in takes even if many people insider it a hive mind. It used to be easier to build and control a narrative because there were less, more powerful voices.

Do people really think there weren’t sports takes before social media? Favre was killed for his playoff INTs P. Manning being a playoff choker was the main narrative of the first decade of his career The media constantly talked about how sad it was Marino couldn’t get a ring

Well… if that’s it for Aaron Rodgers, he joins Brett Favre in throwing an interception on his final pass of his final postseason game. The two have always been cosmically linked on the football field. Makes sense I guess. One hell of a career, 12.

@JohnnyOeleven Tolkien, through Aragorn also said, “there is always hope” in the face of near-certain death at Helm’s Deep. And through Samwise said “where there is life there is hope.” This team is still “alive” — do you think they just roll over to the Bears next week? No way, they’ll fight

@PackersHistory1 Tolkien did say, "False hopes are more dangerous than fears."

@JohnnyOeleven I just refuse to put expectations one way or the other. It will be what it will be and for now, there is hope. Even if it’s a small hope. That hope exists whether you consider it false or not, so why not remain open? I hear ya though, Parson’s injury is tragic!

@PackersHistory1 I’m just trying to be realistic. What good does it do to give yourself a false sense of hope? I can say it that way too. I guess I’ve been burned by this team so much after getting my hopes up, that I am sick and tired of being let down when expectations are so high.

@JohnnyOeleven Probably not but how does it serve you to say it’s a 100% certainty? What good does that do? Hope always dies last

@PackersHistory1 Like I said...championship expectations are gone. There is no way this team is winning the Super Bowl. Division? Sure. A playoff game? Maybe. Super Bowl? Not a chance. Can it still be a "successful" season? Yes! But for all intents and purposes, the season is "over".

@PackersHistory1 Unfortunately, for championship expectations, it is over. But as Lombardi once said, "The Green Bay Packers never lose. They just run out of time." Here is to a better, and healthier 2026 campaign.

From 1-5 in the division last year to 4-0 in the division this year… These Packers are different.

The lesson in playing Caleb Williams is simple. Keep contain, no matter how crazy the play gets. Force him to throw with stationary feet. Fun player, might just throw us one here though.

Christian Watson is so fast he can jog his way to dynamic touchdowns. Incredibly fun player. Superstar when healthy. So happy for him.
