@PackersNotes They Definitely not sold on hopper. Honestly lb outside of coop is messy. Hoping franklin turns back the clock and is decent for a couple years. Mcduffie/nieman/hopper are not great reserves

The 1-year extension through 2027 includes a $1.5M signing bonus. I wish I loved anything as much as the Packers love McDuffie. This extension, along with the March trade for Zaire Franklin, makes it obvious how the team feels about 2024 third-round pick Ty'Ron Hopper.

People put way too much emphasis on TD passes, which is why quarterbacks throw so often on 1st and 2nd down from inside the 5-yard line. But Matt LaFleur often calls running plays when the Packers get inside the 5, and unlike Aaron Rodgers, Jordan Love rarely audibles to a pass.

There are two reasons why Love isn't fully appreciated. The first is his 1-3 playoff record. The second is his lack of TDs. If half of Josh Jacobs' short TD runs were TD passes last season, I guarantee you that Love would rank a lot higher on the list of top QBs going into 2026.

Because the CB room is so underwhelming, GM Brian Gutekunst will probably have to do something with Keisean Nixon's contract. But whatever Gutekunst does can't include adding years. If that's a sticking point, then just move on and hope Brandon Cisse & Benjamin St-Juste can play.

I would not criticize Keisean Nixon if he decides to hold out/hold in when camp begins in late July. I'd criticize the person whose roster construction has enabled a player as mediocre as Nixon to sit atop the cornerback depth chart for the past two summers.
