Preparedness matters. Not daily. Not often. But sometimes. Both the guy with the Prius and the guy with the F150 are both more prepared to deal with natural disasters than is the guy who rides the city bus. Some people go to extremes and that's what you see through your glowing rectangle. Most are far more measured. You're too foolish to know that.

American gun culture really is just consumerism and nothing else. It’s about an image and building a collection, it’s no different than kawaii egirls collecting labubus. Most of these folks have no intention to defend anything or anybody.

@PacoBedejo My perspective is based on an analysis of American production and consumption. You seem to think consumerism is a negative attack against gun owners. It isn’t the fault of gun owners, it is a social condition within an economic system that is dependent and reproduces it.

My husby and I went out to dinner last night, and the bill came out to $200. I left a $50 tip on the table, thinking that was pretty reasonable. But the waiter looked at it and flat-out refused to take it. ​He told us that if we weren’t willing to leave at least $85, we shouldn’t be eating out in the first place. ​I was honestly caught off guard.
