That might be the best video you'll watch today. Bowie's really exaggerating the age a little bit😂

Nietzsche on the difference between men who work to be paid and men who enjoy work. "...in civilized countries today...work is a means and not an end in itself. Hence men are not very refined in their choice of work, if only it pays well. But there are, if only rarely, men who would rather perish than work without any pleasure in their work. They are choosy, hard to satisfy, and do not care for ample rewards, if the work itself is not to be the reward of rewards. Artists and contemplative men of all kinds belong to this rare breed, but so do even those men of leisure who spend their lives hunting, traveling, or in love affairs and adventures…They do not fear boredom as much as work without pleasure.” (Nietzsche, The Gay Science)

Remembering Jim today. He wasn’t just our frontman - he was a poet, a provocateur, and a seeker. There was a wild wisdom in him, something untamed and electric that still echoes through every note we played together.

@freyaindiaa This is great. I work as a Counsellor and I've become increasingly frustrated with the incessant labeling/categorising of idiosyncrasies. As soon as I hear clients label themselves with something (usually ADHD) my heart sinks because I know they are avoiding facing their own soul

The pieces of us once written into wedding vows, read out in eulogies, remembered with a smile, now live on doctors’ notes and mental health assessments and BetterHelp applications. We are not people anymore. We are products with labels. freyaindia.co.uk/p/nobody-has-a…

@BrightonPsych Jung was somewhat of crackpot who suffered from thanatophobia and his ideas of the 'unconscious' were largely his own psychological projections or defense mechanisms

Jung is on the money: modern man - scientific man - has lost the ability to think symbolically and understand the unconscious. We take everything on face value and social media is simply accelerating this. Most of our individual and thus collective behaviours are not quite what they seem...
