On day one of a new SNP government, I will demand powers over energy to be transferred to the Scottish Parliament - so we can cut bills, protect jobs and unlock investment. If Westminster will not bring your bills down, they should get out of the way for a government that will.

Purists v Pragmatists So apparently, being called "ATLAS" is meant to be an insult from the armchair critics. Funny. In the real world, Atlas was the Titan who held up the sky. He bore the weight. He did the heavy lifting. If that's the worst you can call someone in the independence movement who is actually doing the work, then I'll wear the name with pride. What I genuinely don't understand is the mentality of so-called "independentistas" who spend their energy attacking the people trying to achieve independence. You'd think a one-policy party focused solely on delivering independence would be the last target for abuse. Yet here we are. This gets to the heart of a tension you see in every political movement: the purists who demand ideological perfection, and the pragmatists who are trying to build the actual coalition needed to win. Purists sit typing long-winded rubbish to damage anyone who doesn't meet their exact standards, while pragmatists are out there organising, campaigning, and doing the heavy lifting. We don't have time for purity tests. We have one goal: independence. If you're more focused on attacking fellow travellers than you are on tearing down the union, you're not an activist. You're a distraction. Save the fire for the real target. We've got a country to win

6 years ago on Monday Alex Salmond was found innocent of all charges. Meanwhile John Swinney is not only protecting the perjured but is desperately trying to protect Sturgeon and his own part in it . This time next year everyone will know the truth . And not before time .
