@Peterd22 I like both Tommy and Strelec, and hopefully we can find a way to play to their strengths. The duds refers to the other assortment of half-players we kept/bought over keeping Coburn, including the horror of Burgzorg up front at times.

@PaddySisyphus I still think there is a player in Strelec but he’s needs to be played as a 10 rather than a 9. Conway’s time as an out and out striker is over by the looks of it

Of course, I fully understand Josh Coburn would never suit a Hellberg team and it would be a hiding to nothing, but you can't say that so I'll just gratuitously retweet myself from a time when he would absolutely have suited the system. Because life is complicated.

@Peterd22 Agree he did seem perfect for an Edwards team, but from what I read it seemed Keiron Scott had made his mind up about getting rid of him by that stage (and leaving us with his own handpicked selection of duds).

@PaddySisyphus I’ve followed him since his youth days as my youngest regularly play against him. Baffled me then and baffles me even more now that we sold him given Edwards was in charge and would have suited his style more. Even with Hellberg he could have been a focal point occupying CBs

@PaddySisyphus We were never going to win today for this exact reason gadge. The club should have arranged for at least 5000 of these travelling fans to be taken unknowingly to an empty football ground somewhere in Lancashire, so the other 2000 can enjoy a win at Ewood Park

Not to be negative, but I do sort of dread these away days where we've got a massive following. Our overall record in them is poor, and the atmosphere usually ends up disjointed and flat. Anyway, 4-0 Boro I think.
