@DavidSandow1 If that headwall is up stream side and don’t want to dig it up, put a nib wall or sill wall off U/S headwall wings so water overflows into wet pipe and hopefully not the silt.

@PadmanShawn That pipe feeds into a 4m deep square pit at the other end with a 14” Bates hanging down it, they gouged the channel down & so the pipe is about 2m below the channel feeding it, all the silt settles at the end constantly.

That’s a 750mm or 30” cement pipe feeding a pump pit. With 50mm open. The expert opinion, it’s too big ( water velocity too low and suspended material settles ) and situated too low so all silt settles there on the outside. Caused me a lot of headaches. All getting ripped out.
