A friend just sent me her 10 page hospital bill after a straightforward pregnancy and delivery of a well baby. Hospital - $44,375.76 Obstetrician - $8,323 Anesthesiologist - $2800 Total = $55,500 Medical bills are the commonest cause of bankruptcy in the US.

@brightsuit and its not good enough to say, you're quite well to do so its not in your face. Go find some of these people! they are citizens of this country just like you and anyone with a modicum of learning and compassion will understand that how we care for the less fortunate is the test.

Is it possible to see from the results of SW (specifically Cornwall) Euro MEP elections, how these votes would translate into our, first past the post, GE system. So say the results from Padstow area will that show a breakdown of how many voted Labour or Libdem in say St Eval?

Well done Emily Thornbury, well said. Really hard to take a kicking and still look and behave like a Home Secretary in waiting. You're right, General Election (GE) NOW. Make it about decent humane inclusive Labour policies. A UK GE is not run on PR, so brexit/libdems wont show up

I was an immig lawyer during the entire time @theresa_may was Home Secretary. Here are a random selection of tears:- Radiographer. Resident for 6 ys. Wife & 5 kids (all at school here 6 ys). Refused settlement for £70 traffic fine. It meant they all had to leave the UK. 1/7
