Ohio Valley SCDRA season finale will now take place October 29–31 at @PaducahRaceway. This event will also count as an alternate points race for SCDRA and SCDRA NE. $10,000 to win / $350 to start Open practice: Thursday Qual & Heats: Friday Consi/Feature: Saturday

This weekend’s event at Paducah International Raceway has been postponed. Recent weather has not allowed the track time to work the newly added dirt to a level they feel is safe. We appreciate them giving us advanced notice and will work with the track on a rescheduled event.

UPDATE::::: The NASCAR antitrust trial is officially over. The case has been settled. Judge Bell told the parties it was “the right thing to do” and congratulated both sides. Bell: “This is going to be great for the entity NASCAR, the industry NASCAR, the teams, the drivers, and as you have so often said yourselves, ultimately the fans.” Bell added he was “very happy” with the settlement agreement. Afterward, there was a big scene in the courtroom with handshakes and even hugs between all the participants on both sides. Even Denny Hamlin and Jim France hugged.

After learning what “not to do” over the years, my philosophy with our racing series has been: -do what you say you’ll do -communicate with everyone -stay with your rule book -pay what you say you’re gonna pay -you’re only as good as the staff you have surrounding yourself (no drinking on the job, treating people with respect) -have a happy medium of taking care of the drivers & track operators. -be brutally honest no matter If it hurts someones feelings. -don’t show favoritism -don’t let sponsors / manufacturers sway your business model -if the promoters don’t benefit, we as a series don’t -don’t be vindictive no matter how bad it hurts (that one I’ve had to learn the hard way over the years) Do we get it right every time? NOPE! We’re human beings and we make mistakes. Jesus Christ was the only perfect person that ever walked the Earth and they crucified him. What does that say about the rest of us? If you do those things, you can’t have a bad racing series. We’ve gotten away from a lot of foundations of our sport in many aspects. I love dirt track racing and have since I was a kid. The cream always rises to the top no matter what. The bad ones always weed themselves out!
