While carrying out their lawful duty somewhere in Northern Nigeria, they were met not with gratitude, but with assault. Not with support, but with contempt. This is what they endure. Not just bullets and bombs, but the sting of stones thrown by those they swore to defend. And still, they did not break. Still, they held their fire.
