It's odd that expertise requires years of devoted study, but an opinion requires only a moment of exposure, and yet can feel fully formed. The more deeply you understand something, the more complexity and nuance it reveals, until the truly informed no longer feel entitled to a simple opinion at all. All it takes is one subject (even a brief, genuine attempt to understand just one thing fully) to realize you can't. That single realization, once it lands, changes everything. If you can't know everything about one thing, how could you possibly hold firm opinions about all the rest?

I put together a guide with the 7 questions every council member should hear before approving a data center. Water. Sound. Electricity rates. Air quality. Baseline monitoring. Enforcement. Decommissioning. All in plain language. All enforceable. paigeprocessing.com/data-center-gu…

The difference wasn't courage. Both communities showed up. The difference was information — knowing what questions to ask before the first permit was signed.

54 local moratoriums have passed since 2025. Sounds like momentum. But look at the outcomes. Aurora, IL used theirs to pass the strictest data center ordinance in the state. Hood County, TX tried twice, failed both times, and the project was approved anyway. Same tool. Different results.

Sanders and AOC just introduced a bill to pause all new US data center construction. It won't pass. But the story isn't the bill — it's why it exists. A thread on moratoriums, information gaps, and what actually works 📷

The global water story is real and serious. But AI is a footnote in it, not the headline. The primary drivers are agricultural overuse, groundwater depletion, and climate change. The UN's own 2026 Global Water Bankruptcy report specifically recommended embedding AI into water monitoring frameworks. Read the actual reports. Then form your opinion. Everyone keeps telling me AI is draining our water. So I went and read the actual data. Here's what I found. (It's not what you think.) 1/9

A high-powered executive once told me that ADHD is a superpower, as long as you have a good admin assistant. For most of my life, I couldn't afford that assistant. So the superpower just looked like chaos. Ideas I couldn't execute. Projects I couldn't finish. A brain that generated brilliance at the worst possible moments and then lost it before I could write it down. AI is changing that. Not by curing my ADHD, but by being the patient, tireless admin assistant that my brain has always needed. It remembers what I forget. It breaks overwhelming projects into small steps. It picks up where I left off without judging me for wandering away. If you have ADHD and you haven't tried working with an AI agent yet, you're leaving your best tool on the table.

Hi. I'm Paige. Mom of three in a small Colorado city. Community volunteer. Nonprofit board member. ADHD brain. And I use AI every single day. Not to replace my thinking. To extend it. To research things I'm curious about, organize the chaos of running a household and volunteering for too many things, and (honestly) to finally have enough bandwidth to say the things I've been wanting to say for years. This account is me processing the world out loud. AI, family, community, politics, the messy in-between. Sourced when I can be, honest when it counts. Follow along if you're curious. Push back if you disagree. I'd genuinely love the conversation.
