@AusPainSoc I was told many years ago by doctors it was easier and cheaper to prescribe opioids, than talking to patients about management of pain. They didn’t have the time. #SelfmgtLIVING-Works

It’s still used in palliative care & maternity units now. Would be interesting to see breakdown analysis of that primary caredata
