PGAN’s Inaugural Podcast. A vibrant mind that has spent many years exploring the domains of law, policy, literature, sociology, history and other disciplines and continues to seek and excavate deeper insights into our multifarious challenges using these multiple lenses. In this engaging conversation on the PGAN platform, Dr. Osama Siddique reflects on many poignant themes including justice, storytelling and narrative development and the deeper imperatives that drive, shape, divide and coalesce societies — he dwells on the arenas of courtrooms as well as the realm of fiction, in Pakistan as well as in the larger world. The PGAN Thematic Working Groups Retreat was conceived as a diagnostic exercise rather than an event. Work across six thematic areas focused on understanding problems at their roots: questioning assumptions, examining institutional constraints and tracing how these shape outcomes. Attention then turned to the actors involved — where incentives lie, where coordination breaks down and where engagement might realistically make a difference. Only after this analysis did the groups consider how PGAN might engage policymakers, institutions and practitioners. This video sets out that approach. The TWG Report and further material from the six thematic working groups will be released in due course.
