Jani Khel, Bannu – 14 May 2026
A joint intelligence-based operation was carried out by police and security forces in Shad Khan Kallay, a suburban village of Jani Khel, Bannu, following reports regarding the presence of militants in the area.
According to sources, the hideout was effectively targeted during the operation. Reports indicate that 9 FAK militants were killed while one was critically injured during the exchange.
Security sources further stated that the killed FAK militants were involved in the recent terrorist attack on Fateh Khel Police Station and had been under active search by security agencies.
A clearance operation is still underway in the area to trace remaining militants and their facilitators.
The operation is said to be part of ongoing efforts under Operation Azm-e-Istehkam and the National Action Plan aimed at eliminating militant networks and their support structures.

SSG, LCB, and Pakistan Army units are on the ground in Shewa, North Waziristan. The operation looks set to continue for several days.
Early this morning, there were reports of an exchange of fire between FC Wing personnel and the TTP Ghazi Umar group.
A heavy strike was also reported on the TTP Malang markaz in Shamzan Kot,Shewa North waziristan. Initial reports indicate 3 to 4 Afghan khawarij militants were killed and several others wounded.
The operation is still ongoing......
