Pakistan Navy rendered assistance to stranded vessel MV GAUTAM in the Arabian Sea carrying seven crew members, including six Indian and one Indonesian nationals, after the vessel suffered a critical technical failure while enroute from Oman to India. 1/2

Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar briefed the Diplomatic Corps on the first anniversary of #MarkaEHaq, describing it as a symbol of Pakistan’s unity, resilience, and the unwavering resolve of its Armed Forces to defend the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He emphasized that Pakistan’s response during Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos was measured, lawful, and consistent with the UN Charter—targeting only military installations—while warning of the risks of escalation, harm to civilians, and threats to regional peace and security. Reaffirming that the Jammu & Kashmir dispute remains central to regional instability, he called for a just resolution under UN auspices. He also cautioned against unilateral actions affecting the Indus Waters Treaty and highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to multilateralism, peacekeeping, and global engagement. The DPM/FM also briefed participants on Pakistan’s facilitative and mediating role in supporting ceasefire efforts and promoting peace in the Gulf region and the Middle East. Concluding, he reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to dialogue, diplomacy, and peaceful coexistence in South Asia, while underscoring the nation’s and Armed Forces’ resolve to safeguard sovereignty, territorial integrity, and political independence. Held on the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, the briefing was part of the DPM/FM’s regular engagement with the Diplomatic Corps on key regional and global developments.










U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Natalie A. Baker called on Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar @MIshaqDar50 today. Discussions covered recent regional developments. DPM/FM underscored Pakistan’s consistent emphasis on dialogue and diplomacy as the only viable means to address challenges and achieve lasting regional peace and stability. He stressed the need for engagement between the United States and Iran, urged both sides to consider extending the ceasefire, and to give dialogue and diplomacy a chance. Cd’A Baker conveyed U.S. appreciation for Pakistan’s constructive and positive role in promoting regional peace and facilitating dialogue.
