@DoeKawaii @inkfycreates THIS! If you want to be in control of the story, write fan fiction. Actually critically think about the plot and its progression. Chatbots switch up on characterization, motivation, and plot constantly bc it isn’t made to tell you a good story, it’s made to keep you using it

@inkfycreates I feel like this is the result of people talking to chat bots tbh. They're so used to be spoon-fed exactly what they want by the character, while being in the "story" themselves, that they expect that level of catered nonsense from all media they interact with.

This discourse used to be centered around poorly-written character arcs with a lack of a satisfying conclusion. Now it's shifted to, "the author didn't make this happen the way I want it to". People are unable to understand the context for what type of story is being told.

it’s weird when people demand a character face “consequences” for their actions in shows bc like. they’re not real. the purpose of making a character isn’t to treat them how you’d treat a real person, it’s to be tools for a narrative you want to tell
