I know many people in the #algofam often wonder why we don't see Silvio as much as we used to. Let's be honest, we all wish we could see him more often. He's so fascinating to listen to and has undeniable credibility in the crypto ecosystem! 👉 So, I asked the question to Giuseppe Persiano during #Decipher2024. He's been a member of the @AlgoFoundation Board from the very beginning and has been close to Silvio Micali for many years. He's one of the first investors who believed in $ALGO! Why has Silvio become distant from #Algorand? Is there any problem?... 🤔 Rest assured #algofam, the answer is no! You know, Algorand will always be @silviomicali's baby. Giuseppe mentioned that Silvio simply believes Algorand is now strong enough and that it's time for $ALGO to develop freely, gain more independence, and fly on its own wings. Especially since there are solid teams behind it who are doing great work at @Algorand and @AlgoFoundation! And how can we disagree with him? I mean, as we all know, Silvio Micali is deeply committed to decentralization. It's very likely that he doesn't want to monopolize attention on himself, unlike many other founders whose image becomes inseparable from the project... But that definitely doesn't mean he's no longer interested in #Algorand and doesn't follow everything that's going on. Far from it!
