@ssraza21 @ScribeTools @Abdella6if Yes there are a lot of scanned pdfs in it that are not searchable. That’s why I brought it up! I have a feeling that they are just loading the books directly from Archive, but please correct me if I’m mistaken.

@palestinianleft @ScribeTools Been in contact with @Abdella6if in the past and mA they have some great OCR work done as well. But I have noticed that their PDF option a lot of the time is scanned and to make that searchable would be beneficial!

@michael_galant Are these the Sabians? As far as I know one such community has been mentioned in the Qur'an in Chapter 2 in the same vein as Christians and Muslims, as followers of God. John the Baptist being the predecessor to Jesus and a prophet in Islamic Theology kind of tracks with that.

Just finding out that there’s an extant ancient quasi-Abrahamic religion in which John the Baptist is the most important prophet (Jesus is acknowledged but rejected) that’s based mostly in Iran, Iraq, and Worcester, Massachusetts. Did everyone already know this?

@BowTiedPhys Interesting study though there is probably some cultural bias/preference that affects the results (as most Turks are Muslims who believe that sleeping on the right is better). It would be better to study it in a population who don’t have prior beliefs about it.
