🇿🇦Today South Africa commemorates Human Rights Day honouring those who gave their lives for equal human rights for all in SA.
This day is historically linked with 21 March 1960, and the events of Sharpeville. On that day 69 people died and 180 were wounded when police fired on a peaceful crowd that had gathered in protest against the Pass laws.
❗️Situation with human rights in the present-day world is exacerbated by double standard approach. Collective West’s hypocritical care for human rights is designed to camouflage its geopolitical and economic interests, its ambition to rule the world and its lack of respect for other countries. Those who for decades have been preaching about human rights to the whole world have basically turned them into a tool of affirmation of inequality.
🇷🇺Russia is of the view that politicization of human rights is absolutely unacceptable. There can be no “teachers” or “students” in this area. The issue of human rights is too serious to make it a "token" in geopolitical "games", to use them to impose one's own will upon others.

I found my roommate hanging in her room. People that commit suicide dont think about the person who’s going to find them.I nearly failed the year AND had to see 3 therapists in one month before exams. I had to break the news to her bfs and friends who ended up at mental hospitals
