I have been raising the issue of Form 17C and the increase in votes post 06:00 pm, since GE 2024.
I have been appealing to the political parties to collate the Form 17C data, as received at each polling booth and upload it within a couple of hours. But, to no avail❗️
This would certainly have a substantial impact on the monitoring of votes polled.
The DMK had posted on X that they are ready with the data, though they hadn’t made it public.
Never understood what prevented the Opposition parties from uploading the data.

The ECI must IMMEDIATELY upload Form 17C (the only statutory proof of voter turnout) for each polling booth where elections took place in West Bengal today. Commission must declare how many tokens were distributed at 6pm for voters standing in queue at each booth. That’s the minimum level of transparency expected in such a fraught election.

In his letter to Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma, Kejriwal states that not only will he not be participating in the present CBI Discharge case, but also not appear in any case related to BJP, RSS, and those in which SG Mehta appears in the future. He calls it a Satyagraha and is ready to face any consequences that may follow because of his stand.
Whatever be the ending of this, seeing a politician not budge and take on a High Court judge in a case where conflict-of-interest is as clear as daylight is something to watch. “The principle that justice must not only be done, but must also be seen to be done, is among the most sacred assurances that a court gives to a citizen in a democracy. Respectfully, that assurance cannot be dishonoured by asking the citizen to ignore what anyone can plainly see in a case like this.” Indeed.

I have taken this difficult decision after coming to the clear conclusion that the proceedings being conducted in her court do not, in any manner, satisfy the fundamental principle that ‘justice must not only be done but must also be seen to be done’. The anti BJP vote in West Bengal is around 60%.
Till BJP is there, AITC will win (Discussion only regarding the margin of win).
The day opposition is changed from bjp to any one else, TMC will be less than 70.
In West Bengal, you can't win if you can't manage a small chunk of Muslim vote.
