We all better get used to explaining what an AI image generator is quick, because we're about to see a new wave of endless machine-made disinformation sent directly to our parents' less discerning eyeballs. And no fact-checker is going to be able to keep up.

The main issue is still that AI art generators do not reference nor act based on inspiration from existing work. It compiles an image based on a database of work, accumulated without regulation in terms of ownership rights of the source material. This comparison is just silly.

AI image generators using art stolen from the internet is the same as stealing code from another programmer. That Art is part of the CODE that allows the program work. Maybe that’s a concept these programmers can wrap their heads around? Stop stealing our code.
