@alex_hunter20 @Mr__Gollum hmmmm, yeah, true, but i guess they will keep some supply for staking rewards and maybe special event or somethings entertaining.. ofc 10 years looks too slow. i also guess increasing the staking reward with a new airdrop can increase the staking flow.

If you were Hyperliquid and had already decided what % of the supply to allocate for the S3 airdrop, would you: - distribute it now in the middle of a bear market while almost nothing except $HYPE is pumping (and most people would probably sell because they’re down bad) - wait for more euphoria, but that would imply $HYPE pumps a lot too by then and the amount distributed to each person becomes absurd (and people would probably sell because it’s just too much money for them, life changing) - do a retroactive points drop + start a new Season 3 now (or once HIP-4 is fully live and all deployers can launch their HIP-4 markets) for a few months - something else? It feels like this remaining supply is becoming a really complicated thing to deal with and more of a burden than anything else. Since they haven’t communicated anything since TGE and said before the TGE that the remaining supply would be for “future emissions and community rewards”, they’re kinda forced to distribute part of these 42% of the supply to the community (38.888% + 4% unclaimed from the first airdrop). They airdropped 31% of the supply to the community. At TGE, that was worth $930M. Today, that same allocation is worth $19.6B. The biggest airdrop ever distributed. If they decide to distribute just 8% of the remaining 42%, that would represent $5B, still far bigger than any other airdrop ever distributed, while still leaving 34% for future emissions and community rewards. Hyperliquid.

Maybe if you do a retroactive airdrop with a small part of the supply, you'll still have plenty left of the supply for future retroactive airdrop. Same incentive as point program as we already see there is a lot of people staying on hl to farm the s3 ? but more for community believer and less for airdrop hunter ?

@Mr__Gollum yeah but if you do a retroactive drop you're rewarding mostly your community (even if some are only here to farm) but you lose a shit ton of money by not doing any point program that would boost the activity (and revenue of the protocol)..

Loracle nuked 558k $HYPE ($32M) + 59k $HYPE ($3.5M) but has barely touched his $HYPE short. He used most of this stack to add more margin to the short and his liq price is now $83. He’s still short 1.80M $HYPE ($104M) while having only 1.59M $HYPE staked. But surely it’s still a hedge like everyone on the TL is saying, right? He must have some secret wallets with hundreds of thousands of $HYPE that nobody knows about, right?

So you’re telling me @Hyperviewapp is gonna launch in 1–2 weeks, right in time for ATH ? (already applied for the App Store listing few days ago, now it’s up to Apple to move their ass lol) I didn’t even try to time the market I’ve been working on it for almost 5 months now but the timing is beautiful lol Btw I didn’t ask anyone to post about the app, so every single screenshot you see on the TL is just from people who genuinely like the app and want to support it (thanks frens 🫶🏻🥹)
