The public arrogant display of extravagant wealth by politically connected families in Zimbabwe, especially by Tungwarara's daughter, is not a harmless expression of success, it is a symptom of a deeply unequal and broken system.
In a country where millions are trapped in poverty, struggling for basic services and dignity, such displays are not only insensitive but serve as a painful reminder of how far removed the elite have become from the lived realities of ordinary citizens.
This culture of entitlement, where wealth is flaunted without restraint, inevitably raises questions about how such fortunes are accumulated without a record of ethical employment.
Zimbabweans are justified in demanding transparency and accountability, particularly in an economy where formal opportunities for wealth creation are scarce.
When opulence appears disconnected from hard work or innovation, it reinforces the belief that access to state power, not merit, is the primary gateway to prosperity.
At the centre of this crisis is the role of leadership. Under Emmerson Mnangagwa, there is a growing perception that those in authority are either unwilling or deliberately choosing to ignore the excesses unfolding before the nation.
This posture of feigned ignorance erodes public trust and suggests a tolerance, if not quiet endorsement, of a system that rewards privilege while neglecting the majority.
The issue is therefore not about one individual or one family, but about a governance structure that permits accumulation without scrutiny and display without consequence.
Defending the Constitution demands more than rhetoric, it requires a firm insistence that all citizens, regardless of their connections, are subject to the same standards of accountability, transparency, and justice.
Zimbabweans must continue to challenge a reality where wealth is extracted and paraded in the midst of suffering. The call is not against prosperity, but against arrogance, impunity, and inequality sustained by power.
Until leadership confronts these excesses honestly, the promise of constitutionalism and shared national progress will remain unfulfilled. Zimbabweans must defend the Constitution and send ED and his rogue thugs to the cleaners.

@Panozipa @bosskimhucci @chidarikire Amazing how some people can confidently parade their ignorance. By boss Kim’s logic, it means the biggest lorry travels the longest with a litre of fuel. Surely, it requires the slightest presence of mind on casual observation to see the absurdity of that logic.
