@christianm1988 @traumatizedsag @cmclymer Yeah some people can't distinguish between on stage persona and the person. I've never seen her or anything but Freddy Mercury as my reference, he was very flamboyant and extravagant on stage and very quiet, reserved, and private off stage.
English

@traumatizedsag @cmclymer I think they just pulled it out of their ass tbh

Chappell Roan seems to be making two different points, one of them right and one of them wrong, and conflating the two.
The first is that she shouldn't be harassed, stalked, have her privacy invaded, have the right to say "no" when asked for a selfie, etc., and she's correct on all of that.
But the second is that she's entitled to treat global fame as an on/off switch. She should be able to be globally famous when she wants but also anonymous when she wants.
She wants to be recognized as an artistic icon when she's walking down the street, and she also wants everyone else to pretend they don't recognize her when she's walking down the street.
She wants the notoriety and all the cool shit that comes with being globally admired, which is perfectly valid, but she also wants to walk into any public space and expect that fans won't come up and ask for a selfie.
There are countless artists who produce widely admired art and don't seek out global fame. They love creating art that other people enjoy and they want more people to enjoy it but they also don't leverage huge PR resources to push that art. They don't go out of their way to be recognized.
Chappell Roan does leverage PR. She wants screen time. She wants good publicity. She wants to be recognized as a celebrity on sight. That's all fine. Nothing wrong with that.
But she also wants her fans to adore her public presence while pretending she doesn't exist when she's right in front of them in a public space, which is very odd and unreasonable.
And it's silly as hell to conflate that very unreasonable demand--that fans should read her mind and shouldn't walk up in public and ask for a selfie--with her correct point that she shouldn't have her privacy violated or be harassed.
She should be able to turn down taking a selfie, no doubt, but wanting her fans to not ask for a selfie in the first place when her career hinges on public adoration?
C'mon, Chappell. You know that doesn't make any sense.

@jojoskarma @chaewonthingz @OlatoberuB14050 @PopBase Pretty sure they just want to get paid for their talent. She's not the first nor the last to be like this. Freddy Mercury was only flamboyant on stage and was very private and quiet away from the stage for example
English

@chaewonthingz @OlatoberuB14050 @PopBase OK, you have to realize famous people want to get famous to get attention. This is what she wanted. If she didn’t want this she won’t to release music. She wouldn’t have concerts, etc. like you guys are falling for her shenanigans. This is how she gets attention..

Chappell Roan tells Miley Cyrus “you literally walked so I could run” during Hannah Montana 20th anniversary special:
Chappell: “What I do on stage [or] go on a red carpet and just be…”
Miley: “Oh I always gag for that”
Chappell: “But that’s because you took a lot of heat for that in like 2012, 2013, like I don’t have to deal with that as much because the world took out on you.”

@moco169 @QuickestTempa An explosive athlete with well developed leg work, I think GGG would have is work cut out for him keeping Donaldson off him and it's a street fight meaning not boxing rules so GGG would be susceptible to the same disadvantage strikers have vs wrestling
English

@moco169 @QuickestTempa I've seen a lot of knowledgeable people admit mass and strength is pretty hard to overcome even when it's an experienced fighter vs someone untrained. Donaldson is used to taking hits, he has well developed muscles to stabilize his head and protect from a knock out and is

It's hard to explain to someone who isn't a boxing fan that the guy on the left beats the guy on the right in a street fight.

@TerriblyResolve @josh_j_h101 @TheQuartering If the neighbor was able to knock him off his bike like that he wasn't driving that fast or "being reckless" and the neighbor wouldn't be privy to his license status.
English

@josh_j_h101 @TheQuartering Reckless behavior. Driving without a license. Noise complaints. Speed restrictions.
None of these behaviors have to be tolerated. And you have no idea how often he has been politely asked.
And no, you don’t assault an ape like this… you shoot it.
Seems like he got lucky
English

I know it's easy to dunk on him because he has TDS but some dude ran out into the road and knocked him over while riding motorcycles WITH HIS KIDS.
The man had already pushed his bike over twice before he caught a beat down. I'm with reacher on this

@tylershez @ywnbact Anyone else the crowd started chanting kill the elephant and tried to shoot her and when that didn't work the lynching happened.
English

@tylershez @ywnbact Couple of events that you're glossing over there Skippy, dude was a homeless man with no experience working with elephants who was hired the day before and she was retaliating because she had and infected tooth and he was hurting her there. Despite her not being aggressive to

@loneangelx What military might and negotiating does grey worm have? He was at disadvantage

@Pollardj @GastrOo_00 Sporting finished higher on the table so they earned the second leg at home and the benefits that comes with.
English

@GastrOo_00 Was the same with away goals after a draw on aggregate.
What alternative is there? Give the away team a goal advantage at the start of extra time to make it fair? 🙄
Easy to point out a problem. Difficult bit is finding a solution. Hence why you havent offered one.
English

@felmointheass @JoeskeeBroskee @DreadedJai Olympic shooting is a completely different discipline and skill set. The guy is correct that the general population of the south would be much better shooters than portrayed, it's one of the only reasons the much smaller Confederate forces were winning the civil war early on
English

@JoeskeeBroskee @DreadedJai Where are all of our white southern Olympic gold medal shooters then? You believe in a fictional world.

Those are klansmen. If you’re offended over klansmen dying you’re probably a klansman

Michael B. Jordan just won Best Actor for the groundbreaking role of “black guy who kills White people.” Truly the performance of a generation.
English

@NoireWriter @Olivisoffical Again the whole thing is completely unrealistic, slug and the dude controlling the shotgun's recoil is the most plausible part of the scene
English

@Pantera_yes @Olivisoffical If it was using a SRS it would have much more recoil and would do much more damage. (I got my first shotgun a .410 / .22 over and under when I was ten years old.)
English

@NoireWriter @Olivisoffical Shotguns have a variety of projectiles, buckshot, birdshot, and slugs like these. The rest of the scene is some Bollywood level of cinematics
English

@Olivisoffical A shotgun firing a single low-velocity projectile? Really?

@WayneNtress @VisionaryVoid Not if it's frozen so quickly crystals don't form I believe, it's a similar concept to the frozen mammoths with intact bodies or that lady they managed to revive in Minnesota a while back

@VisionaryVoid When blood is frozen, the erythrocytes, which transport oxygen, burst and it becomes useless.
English

The Rarest Blood on Earth.
In 1961, doctors in Australia made a discovery that broke every rule of biology. An Aboriginal woman was found to have Rh-null blood, a type completely missing all 61 antigens in the Rh system.
Scientists had believed an embryo without these antigens could never survive. Yet here she was, perfectly healthy.
Rh-null blood is so rare that fewer than 50 people worldwide are known to carry it. It is called “Golden Blood” for a reason: carriers are universal donors. Their blood can save anyone within the Rh system.
But there is a terrifying catch. If they themselves ever need a transfusion, they can only receive blood from another Rh-null donor. Even a single drop of ordinary blood would trigger a fatal immune reaction.
Because of this, the handful of known carriers live under constant vigilance. They are part of a secret, international network of living blood banks. They regularly donate and freeze their own blood so it can be flown anywhere in the world if they are ever injured.
They go through life knowing that one accident could be fatal if their reserves cannot reach them in time.
The woman discovered in 1961 started a medical legacy that still saves lives today. Her blood type is both the ultimate gift and the ultimate vulnerability.

English

@alexinsdorf99 I think they draft a tackle rather than a guard early. Tackles (other than Salyer) can play guard generally so we can move the worse out of them inside, bigger emphasis on the tackles being good with Mike's system and also if there's any uncertainty with Slater's recovery
English

@thorkilghi @kamikazecash @TheBrancaShow Such a small moving target such as a leg or arm, so when I was mentioning danger to bystanders it's from missing your intended target. And if you do hit you don't need "force of will" to stop over penetration, that's what hollow point rounds are designed for.
English

@thorkilghi @kamikazecash @TheBrancaShow When was a desire to kill expressed? Stopping the threat≠killing the person. You should be aware that is a possibility and before using a gun come to terms with that but that doesn't mean you want to kill. Secondly you really really over estimate the ability to actually hit
English

This is insane advice. Lawyer. Expert in use-of-force law.
But if you DO decide to do this, good f'ing luck. I'll stream your trial for clicks.

PRO TIP(yearly reminder) Use 9mm shot for your first round in your home defense handgun. This gives you the opportunity to pop the intruder with something non lethal to scare em off or stun them. Followed by a carry round of your choice.
English

@warden_v1 @BussySommelier @kamikazecash @TheBrancaShow They still penetrate through walls pretty good if you miss so you should aim for center mass to reduce that risk
English

@kamikazecash @TheBrancaShow It escalates the situation, so you should be prepared for that fact is all.
English

@kamikazecash @TheBrancaShow I wasn't picturing a firefight at all. Suburbs like this and apartments are the way most towns are currently developing stray shots are a very real danger. Also the goal of most home invasions is to steal stuff not hurt someone so when the victim presents itself as dangerous

English

@MacroEscobar @kamikazecash @TheBrancaShow Guess what bullets do? Penetrate through walls and apartments + this style suburbs are some of the most common ways towns and cities are currently developing so home invasions have plenty of risk of bystanders.

English

@Pantera_yes @kamikazecash @TheBrancaShow In a home invasion scenario its very rare there are bystanders you goober
