East Middle Panthers

VFW District Commander, Kim King visited EMS with Lamar Wilkie & David King to present Jack Reed with a an award & check in honor of his essay “My Pledge to the Veterans“ for the Patriots’ Pen essay contest. Jack won first prize among the district level!

8th grade mock trial was a great success! For 2 weeks, students have researched and built their case. They did so well that the jury was debating for over an hour! Mrs. Koster and Mrs. Litchford said they couldn’t ask for a better job done! Congrats to all! @TCSPublic

Outsiders Day was a hit again! Pictures on motorcycles (thanks to Mr. Arnold & Mr. Stout), Outsiders movie in the theater, and a Sock Hop in the gym is how the 8th grade spent their day! I believe they all loved it!

Brindley Duncan broke her personal record with a time of 5:19.26 and took second place in the 1600 meter run.

Andrew Carmack from East Middle School places 7th in long jump at the TSSAA track and field championships.

The 8th grade spelling bee was conducted today! 30 students (5 from each class) won a place in the bee. The top ten received prizes! We are so proud of their efforts! Congratulations to all! The winning word was “Asphyxia” spelled correctly by Sterling Crews. @TCSPublic

8th grade Lake Winnie incentive trip was today! What fun we all had!

The East Lady Panthers defeat the Warren County Lady Pioneers 35-28 in the first round of the CTC tournament. The Lady Panthers will take on the Coffee County Red Raiders tomorrow at 6 p.m. at South Middle School.
