Round 7 on Sunday was a lot of fun. Opening Day Shamble is one of my favs. Played well and made some new friends. Need to work on distance control and not short siding myself. I did both in the same hole too many times.

Non golf related post. My mower got delivered today. If anyone needs a mow, let me know, I'm available.

Rd 6 was a beast. 50°, cloudy and windiest I've played in forever. Short game work this week paid off. Chips were really good and putting even better. Eric and I played well off each other and won 4&3. Back at it this week, opening day shamble Sunday, always a good time.

Rd 5 today. Ground out a 79. No birds, 11 pars, 7 bogeys. Felt good hitting good shots after bad ones. Short game back to respectable, but not perfect. Off the course until 1st match next Sunday. Range work as weather will allow. Great 4 days of golf.

Rd 4. Cold and windy start. 6 on 1, 3 on 2, stupid game. Driver and irons were OK, short game better, putter still saving my bacon. Old Pals match is scheduled for next Sunday so I need to get some practice on the short game. Fun watching The Masters with the boys after.

Round 3 in the books. 38/39 w/ a 6 on 18 from the fairway. Didn't miss a fairway today and actually popped a few. Short game is absolutely abysmal. Heading to the course early tomorrow to get some work in. Putter is almost as hot as the driver right now but the greens are great!

2nd round today, much better, 40/38. Regripped my driver and irons with an extra layer of tape & went to a mid grip. Felt like I was turning the ball over more. Touch around the greens is garbage but it's April and I'll get that going. Tee times tomorrow - Sunday!

I have a great story about meeting him....too long to post here, but he was awesome! As one of my buddies says, he's always the coolest guy in the room.

1st round of the year. 47 on the front, wind 35+. Hit the ball well, greens are slow but it's March. Piped a drive on 10, hybrid short of the green, 1st bird of the year. Bogeyed 11, but par on 12. Another 🐦 on 13 and parred out for my 1st sub par 9 at NS. A lot to build on.

@MeltdownRocks Walked behind the Newport Music Hall after a White Zombie show in 1991. The band was sitting in lawn chairs kicking it w/ everyone back there. All of them were super cool until someone handed Rob a coke can to sign. He tossed it at the kid & everyone got quiet, then he laughed.
