@CW_MuddyH2O @USFBaseball I agree we need to clean house fully of players and coaches. We need a clean slate of players that can play and coaches that can coach.
English

@USFBaseball This team is imploding in epic fashion. Know idea what’s going but Hannah’s needs to get this team on track the next 3 weeks or we won’t make the tournament. That would be cause for termination far as I’m concerned.
English

@USFBaseball Wow season over, horrible way to end. Promising start was just a mirage. Time to clean house of players and coaches. This is not working out.
English

@NFL_DovKleiman And he will be broke within 5 years if he doesnt get a new contract after his rookie deal is done.
English

@NancyCarrow @BullJay14 @USFBulls2 That is true but also feel with baseball in Florida you should be winning almost every year and we haven’t been consistent for a very long time if ever really.
English

@Papershadow22 @BullJay14 @USFBulls2 This is only year 2 for Hannahs, plus he's shown he can make the CWS regionals/supers. Baseball isn't football or bball so there's a little longer rope.
English

@Timwalkonwater2 I think one of the problems is just throwing in college there hurts it a little plus the price at $30. To me $30 is more for mid tier retail not low tier like Bowman and Topps flagship are. Bowman should be $25.
English

Tell me you’ve never opened Bowman before without telling me you’ve never opened bowman before.
Just because you haven’t taken the time to educate yourself on a product doesn’t mean it’s not a good product. #thehobby #sportscards
Skunk Ape Sports Cards@skunkapecards
People are catching on to the fact that these Bowman basketball blasters aren’t that great. Topps Chrome will be the product of the year. Bowman has a lot of junk in it (paper, most of the college stuff, etc). @CardPurchaser
English

@MattWolbrink @AllfreyColby @MKellyUSNA Well problem is too like some have said, players like Jimmy Horn got drafted and wasnt a Bull anymore. Same will be if Brown gets drafted.
English

@AllfreyColby Yeah it’ll take a few years to cleanse the @MKellyUSNA dumpster fire
English

No #USF players were drafted in the 2026 NFL Draft.
It’s the 8th straight draft without a Bull being drafted.
English

@AllfreyColby In the era of the transfer portal, it’s gonna be that much harder for any G5 programs to get players’ drafted, as they’ll end up transferring to a power conference school before getting drafted. Case in point…

English

@BullJay14 @NancyCarrow @USFBulls2 Yeah agree need sweep and probably what 2-1 in the other ones for a fighting chance. If we don’t make even the conference tournament how long do we give the coach?
English

@NancyCarrow @USFBulls2 That is right forgot not everyone goes so we need these wins.
English

@Papershadow22 @USFBulls2 I'm hoping we even make the American tournament. They only take 8. 3 weeks left to make some moves. Totally possible but we need to win those series, at the very least.
English

@ID_Xbox @dwg_publishing DPS 2 Idle has glitched achievements. I cannot pop the after 6 hours achievement and i have come back after 6 hours and no achievement.
English

@NancyCarrow @USFBulls2 Yeah but feel have to win the American tournament or we wont be in.
English

@trmcards @CardPurchaser Interested to see what more football brings. So far only likes Topps Basketball and that is about it. Chrome football ok for mostly singles.
English

@TheUSFWizard @usfcardsfan Yeah just strange that we didn’t even get a single score update, play highlight, or final score update from either ECU game so far
English

@The_BAE_Tampa Funny the women can have a down year then reload after that and win for awhile. Men have a down decade then have one maybe two years being good and bad for another 10. Guess we have baseball Golesh can only beat the weak baseball teams in conference.
English

@Blake_Bruce They all trying to get Topps Chrome football to resell at 2x or 3x times the price.
English

@usfbulls69 Even they are embarrassed by the coaching and players. Time to reload and find another coach and some offensive players.
English

@heiferlessbiped @usfbulls69 Agree we play decent mid week lately than crap the bed in conference. I think USF baseball even knows that the season is over. Think time to start looking for a new coach bc all the hype of him is now gone and he has not produced consistently.
English

@usfbulls69 The conference is loaded this year. But we're just playing like shit. Very disappointing.
English

@usfcardsfan @usfbulls69 Promising season down the drain. We need to run the tournament or that is it. Wonder why we decide not to show up during conference play.
English

@WaxMetrix Still crazy that Target and such boxes are $35 and not the $25 that Panini’s was. Funny how missing Panini already.
English

@Papershadow22 Tbf, Hoops value is $35. Hoops Fanatics Value is likely $40, but it's also quite a bit better than standard Value boxes. Not great, but better.

2025/26 Topps Hoops Basketball Analysis & Deep Dive
Alright…let’s get this over with.
I’ve been staring at this odds sheet for a week like it owes me money, trying to translate this nonsense into some actual usable analysis. The reality? It’s a hot mess. Which, honestly, feels on-brand for the product.
At some point you stop chasing perfection and accept the job for what it is. This breakdown isn’t flawless. Some production estimates could swing a bit either direction. But big picture, we’re dialed in within ~10%, which is about as good as you’re gonna get when the source material looks like it was assembled during a wicked hangover.
It's not just that they put all formats in one column like it's a CVS receipt. There just isn’t enough hard data to precisely lock down the numbers. And that’s largely because this product is devoid of numbered format exclusives.
In this product, Hobby formats and retail formats are entirely different animals. They share base cards and Rainbow Foil. That's it. Every parallel, insert, and auto subset is either exclusive to both Hobby & Jumbo, or exclusive to retail formats, aside from unnumbered Green Hoops (Value & Fanatics Value Boxes) and Orange Hoops (Hangers).
As far as box dynamics and hit rates go, we're good. Those are as accurate as they can be. Print runs should be very close too, within 10%. The important stuff is all ironed out enough to give you a really good idea of what to expect from this dumpster fire...er, product.
The bad news? Well… where do we start?
If you're here to see the Squatch give you all the glaze that Hoops has to offer, maybe go ahead and move on. Topps purists may not like me after this one. Panini fans may rejoice though. So give me a second while I pre-heat the oven. Now, let this roast commence.
Welcome to 2025/26 Topps Hoops NBA.
Part 1: WTF?
I don’t know if Topps lost a bet or what. Maybe it’s one of those deals where you buy a company but have to keep the previous owner’s nephew on payroll because there's no way he could find a real job. He’s always drunk, wildly unqualified, and somehow untouchable once the papers are signed.
NBA Hoops is that drunk nephew.
I get it, it’s an NBA property. Topps probably had to make it. But this doesn’t feel like something they wanted to make. Of all the products I’ve ever analyzed, this is easily the most forgettable. Ask me tomorrow to name two insert sets from Hoops and I’ll probably give you a glassy-eyed stare. And I’ve been buried in this thing for days.
But while I'm actually looking at them, let me tell you what the rare inserts are- Oasis. Joy. Checkmate. Hoopnotic. Oh, and I can't forget the snoozefests Boombastic and Block By Block found in retail. Those are your non-auto "chases".
There’s no backbone. No aura. Nothing that makes you say, “Yeah…I gotta get me some of that Hoops.”
It feels like drunk nephew told ChatGPT, “Make me a full product, base it on Hoops and keep it as generic as possible.”
Boom. Straight to print.
To be fair, Hoops wasn’t exactly can't-miss material under Panini either. Hoops Premium had a five-minute run but ended up being pretty rancid as well. But at least Panini Hoops had one thing going for it: it was cheap. You knew what to expect. Which wasn’t much.
At $260 a box for one auto, this is literal grand larceny. And we don’t even know what Jumbos are going to look like yet. If you’re paying $500+ for a box of this, you need your head examined.
If there was ever a product that absolutely should drop in price after release, it’s this one. This makes Topps Three look like a masterclass in building a memorable NBA set. And until now, in my opinion, at the price that was the worst product of the year (which somehow still went up in price).
Alright…I’m getting ahead of myself.
Let’s get into the numbers and let you come to your own conclusion. Though honestly, I don’t think we even need a “What Would the Squatch Do?” on this one. Pretty sure you already know.
Part 2: Numbers and stuff
Total cards in the product:
~84,500,000

Hangers- 1 auto per 17 boxes, 1.67 parallels, 1.6 inserts, 1 numbered card per 7.5 boxes
Fanatics Value- 1 auto per 7 boxes, 4 parallels, 1.6 inserts, 1 numbered card per 2.2 boxes.
Part 3: Value Map
Prices based on pre-order of $260/hobby, estimating $500/jumbo, $35 Value, $18 Hangers, estimating $40 Fanatics Value box.
$/card
1) Value/Fanatics Value- 63¢
2) Hangers- 72¢

$/parallel
1) Value- $7.49
2) Fanatics Value- $10.23
3) Hanger- $10.84
$/auto

2) Hobby- $260
3) Fanatics Value- $278
$/# card
1) Fanatics Value- $86.80
2) Jumbo- $93.63
3) Hobby- $108.33
Part 4: "Best" formats
This is a bit like picking your favorite flu symptom, but for the sake of a complete breakdown… here we go.
You can't really compare Hobby formats to Retail because they’re basically different products. Outside of base Rainbow Foils, there’s zero overlap in hits.
The one redeeming quality in this entire release is the checklist for the 1989 Hoops Signatures. Based on the OG Hoops design, the cards look solid and the checklist is strong. If not for that and this year's excellent rookie class, I don't know if I would have a single good thing to say about the entire product.
On the Hobby side, Jumbo checks the most boxes. It’s the most efficient path most to parallels, inserts, and all autos. Hobby boxes edge out Jumbo slightly on the four case-hit inserts, but not by much.
Among retail formats, if Fanatics Value boxes land at $40 (which tracks with other recent releases), they will be the best retail format for almost everything. The only place they fall short is a handful of auto parallels, where Hangers sneak ahead.
There are only two boring case level inserts in retail formats (Block By Block & Boombastic), which is a bit of a bummer. But honestly the Hobby case hits aren't much better.
If you forced me to pick one format overall, it’s Fanatics Value. I’d rather retire from the hobby than pay suggested pricing on Hobby or Jumbo. I just can't fathom $260/$500+ box prices for this lowest end of low end sets. And to think they'll probably go up from there on the secondary market. Dear God, I hope not. But they probably will.
If hobby boxes were $130 rather than $260, I could get on board with people snagging some. Not me, but people. For this price range, Flagship Topps is a way better set with much more upside potential.
Part 5: What Would the Squatch Do?
Squatch is doing his best Flock of Seagulls impression. Run. Run so far away.
