If kids are only reading books at their reading level& not experiencing books at higher levels through read aloud...we are creating gaps in their vocab development, language, critical thinking, & more. Read aloud is important for all students no matter the age or content area.

NEW: Our Harris County Local Health Authority has issued a Health Order requiring masks in schools and childcare centers.   Pediatric COVID19 cases are at all- time highs in Texas, and most schools haven’t even started yet.  We have no choice.

@ReneeGlasscock I know this is not what many of us educators wanted to hear. Teaching students virtually is difficult. Period. However, parents have a right to keep their children safe. I appreciate Katy isd for giving parents the option to choose between face to face or virtual.
