@CurseofConform Many years ago the band I was in didn't use amps. So I just had an old Peavey that weighed a little more than a neutron star. So for jamming and travel I picked up a Roland Cube 30w. That thing has been bomb proof. Buddy had a Vox modeling amp. Was a nice little amp.
I got this little guy because I got tired of lugging the Crate around. Only 6 lbs and adjustable up to 50W with a Nutube preamp. It's really fun to play with and I like playing in my garage in the summer.
Vox VX50 GTV
I really wish Crate was still in business...I love this amp and it's been with me almost my whole time playing guitar. Took it to every gig and practice and everything is still stock and never repaired.
Crate 120W GFX 212T 2 channels, channel tracking, 3 way foot switch and built-in effects.
@aphotomama I used to be able to drink Mt Dew until the time I went to bed. Now, it has to stop at like 3 or 4 if I'm going to sleep. I love tea and now I drink decaf. I have such trouble getting to sleep. Once I'm asleep I'm generally good. But getting to sleep is difficult for me.
@MountainDew Now that I'm old, it's earlier in the day. I'd solved that problem with the caffeine free Dew but you stopped making it. Or at least stopped selling it in my region. Used to drink it all day and sleep just fine. LOL! Wish you still offered the caff free stuff.
@ToddLlewellyn I only carry cash. I don't even have a debit or bank card. I only use cash because he helps me budget. I used to also want a drink or something, but not at the prices they want for a bottle of soda now.
@aphotomama The live music bars that had lights and sound are gone. So unless a band already has their own lights and sound systems, which a lot don't. they have to hire that out. That often costs more than the band would make. I always had my own stuff but many don't.
@aphotomama Through the 90s and the early 2000s there were many places to play and many bands. Then bars realized they could pay so much less and just hire a DJ. Come to today where there aren't many bands in the area. The bats that have bands don't pay you anything.
@Paradiggum I specifically bought the Soloist for the Floyd…but ended up engineering a titanium solution to stop the float. Having access to a direct metal 3D printer has advantages 😎
@TD87011 The last several guitars I bought are all hard tail T or S types. Well, some are superstrat configs, but you get the idea. I don't even want a trem. However, if it has to have a non FR, the 6 screw vintage ones are the easiest to deck/lock down. For me, at least.
@mpiregraphix@19challenger19 Thanks. Since it's discontinued Sweetwater had it on blowout for half off. I have the purple one with Duncan's and like the feel so I snagged one.
@19challenger19 Plays great as well. I only got to play it a little after work. Tomorrow afterwork it'll get a real workout. Really curious to see how those Fishman pickups perform.
