Wow! I post that I've been running 5Ks to keep in shape, and now my social media is filled with ads for runners, e.g., for shoes, race pins, etc. The sad part is that some of these ads were useful. So there you have it, I've inadvertently rewarded the algorithm's nosy behavior.

Dear God. I pray for America. Please excise the spirit of hatred, of division, of chaos, and egocentricism that has overtaken and corrupted its leaders. Let America show its trust in you by acting in ways consistent with the values of a God of love, mercy, and justice.

Did you know you'll likely live longer if your doctor is a woman? Did you know that if you're black, you'll likely live longer if your doctor is also black? Let's not create hindrances for women and black people to get educated because society's mortality rate is at stake.

Lord, have mercy on these people who have decided to be the domicile of hatred of their fellow humans who have no choice but to be and look how you have made them. Forgive them for the dishonor and contempt they show you by hating your creations. Help me not to be filled with hatred about their hatred. Amen.

It is a terrible thing to be so aware of other people’s faults yet be entirely blind to one’s own.

To the people who keep following then unfollowing then following me, make up your mind as my content is not going to change. You should probably listen to the instinct to unfollow, unless you want to be brave and enlightened.

It's really from jealousy, that hell they're giving you and calling you . . .

The Bible says there is NOT ONE single righteous person, that ALL have sinned and fallen short of the grace of God. We are made holy and righteous purely by God's grace. How much more should a mere human give grace to their fellow human.

Yesterday, after I picked up my preteen daughter from school and on the ride back, she told me suddenly that I have three things going against me: I am black, female, and Christian. I was not expecting this statement from a post- school day chat, but I told her with a smile on my face. Do you know 3 things I have going for me? She shook her head. Then I said, "I'm black, female, and Christian. I love being black and would not want to be white. I love being a woman and would not want to be a man. And I love being a Christian." And she nodded and kept silent in that proud way, like I just validated her existence. Words matter. Words matter.

Too many people out there are confusing pro-birth with pro-life. If you are pro-life, you must also invest in prenatal care, obstetric care, postpartum care, adequate nutrition, and adequate education until that life you care about is able to independently care for itself. If you are only pro-birth, then know that you actually only care about the life of the wealthy. At least be honest with yourself.

You know us black people don’t have nerve endings, and we don’t have hearts either. So, we don’t feel pain, have no feelings to hurt, and are as cold as heartless criminals. And . . . heaven forbid that we are allowed mouths to complain.
