The battle in finance is not MFD vs RIA, it is platform vs Robo. MFDs have increasingly joined one platform or another - NJ, Prudent, Asset Plus, Z funds, Centricity etc. Platforms offer better commissions & save costs. The challenger? Robo Advisory in the RIA model. Think ET Wealth, Jio etc. Lower costs, fewer humans. A more consistent experience. Who will win? So far platforms have won. Indians like human interaction & trust comes from humans. But AI can change things, possibly. Younger people prefer apps & direct investing. I want to deep dive further into this evolving battle.
