I wanna apologize for tonight’s stream, I cried and got a little vulnerable. I genuinely dislike venting and appearing weak, just a lot of things have been going on and just stuff in this space and with acquaintances have left me at an all time low. I’m going to unpublish the vod , but yea I’m sorry for crying and just laying it all out there.Just feeling so alone and alienated. Perhaps I need a break or to close the guild doors which I hope doesn’t come to that.

I spent the last few days browsing 100 new and smaller VTubers to see what might drive away new viewers, and this is what caught my attention: - 12 VTubers had follower-only mode on, making it harder to encourage first time chats. - 19 VTubers had pre-roll ads enabled, where most people will simply leave instead of waiting. - 52 VTubers went over 30 seconds without speaking or commenting on their games. This is excluding things like audio balance issues and lacking "polish" that comes with experience. If you want to find success, please understand that your stream experience and content matters MOST. Review your vods, and constantly look at yourself from the perspective of a viewer. It's not worth your time to chase after shortcuts. Even if you have a short go viral, if those new eyes come to your stream and the experience is bad, you'll lose them forever. I'm a firm believer that knowledge shouldn't be gatekept, and even if some of these things seem obvious, a reminder can always be helpful. Feel free to ask questions or talk about your own experiences as well!!
