Josh, the West has little to no understanding of the Islamic regime in Iran. No one in the West believed the regime would massacre protesters—even after President Trump drew a red line and explicitly warned against killing them!
The same naivety applies to negotiations aimed at preventing the regime from developing nuclear weapons. As an Iranian-American, I can assure you: the Islamic regime will not stop its nuclear program. Especially after massacring its own people, the regime now believes more than ever that it cannot afford to go without nuclear weapons. For them, it has become essential to their survival.

Ali Alizadeh is a staunch supporter of the regime, particularly of Supreme Leader Seyed Ali Khamenei. As a theorist, lecturer, and influencer, he promotes the Islamic Republic, Hamas, Hezbollah, and other aligned groups. He holds significant influence among conservatives in Iran, especially Khamenei's supporters.
In the video, Alizadeh and his guest, Abolfazl Bazargan—a senior member of the “Freedom Movement of Iran” and a well-known political activist—argue that the regime should at least acquire one nuclear bomb, as it is essential for survival through nuclear deterrence.
They assert that Khamenei recognizes this necessity and will ensure it happens.
