A second generation officer at PFPD, Lee served in the United States Marine Corps prior to beginning his career in Park Forest in 2000. He took lead of the Investigations Division as Detective Commander in 2018.

PFPD is saying farewell to another veteran leader. After 23 years of service, Detective Commander Lee Elliot is retiring from the Park Forest Police Department on 07/21/2023.

Park Forest Police Officers, loved ones, and members of the community gathered last night to remember Jada Moore, a 5 year-old who was tragically taken from us over the weekend. The candle light vigil included a brief prayer service, balloon release, and walk in honor of Jada 🖤

On 7-16-2023, we released the tragic news of Jada Moore’s murder, along with the mugshots of those charged with Jada’s death. We want the public to remember Jada by her bright smile & beauty, not by the faces of those who hurt her. You’re at peace now, Jada. And forever in our 🖤

The men and women of the Park Forest Police Department wish to express their deepest sympathy to Jada’s family and friends and grieve the tragic loss of this child’s life.

On 07-16-2023, Klent Elwoods and Lisa Jones were charged with 1st degree murder for the death of their 5-year-old granddaughter, Jada Moore. The Park Forest PD would like to remind the public that defendants are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

His passion for Park Forest Youth and their safety is unparalleled. Thank you, Commander Elliot, for your sacrifice and service, and congratulations on your retirement!

On 7/21/23, Detective Commander Lloyd "Lee" Elliot will retire from the Park Forest Police Department. after over 23 years of service. He began with the US Marine Corps & has served in the Patrol, Investigations & Canine Divisions at PFPD.

STOP👏BRINGING👏ILLEGAL👏GUNS👏TO👏PARK👏FOREST👏 Over the past week, Park Forest Officers have recovered four firearms from three separate incidents, which resulted in numerous arrests including two juveniles and one adult being charged with Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

DC Rzyski and Chief Winfrey have been working together to ensure a seamless transition, continuing PFPD's 74-year commitment to provide outstanding service to residents and visitors to our Village.

After over 25 years with PFPD & over 28 years in law enforcement, Chief Paul Winfrey will be retiring from the Park Forest PD in mid-July. This retirement has been planned for some time& Deputy Chief Brian Rzyski is set to be appointed as the new Chief of Police.
