As part of our 2021 self care, my family is aiming to visit 21 Maryland state parks. Being amongst the trees, in the sun, with loved ones, and physically active is all vital to our well being, and hopefully this goal will help us adventure out in a safe way.

On Colbert last week I mentioned my 3rd grade teacher, Ms. Mueller, who after reading a poem I wrote, told me I could be a writer when I grew up. I never forgot those words. So what an utter delight when I looked up from the signing table in New Orleans and saw Ms. Mueller there!

Earlier this week my mom, Carol Corley, passed away. It still seems surreal. She gave so much to her family, friends, and the world in general and to say she will be missed in an understatement. I have never seen another person give so freely to others.

@Mathowitz I know all but the seventh, I (and i am not proud of this) used to make my students memorize all of these and I would quiz them on them.
