Parkside Community School is today celebrating another year of success as students received their GCSE results. This year’s outcomes show a strong improvement on the previous year, reflecting the dedication, resilience and hard work of pupils and staff alike.

We are proud to announce the league winners for 2024-25, Congratulations! We now move on to the playoffs.

Staff and students had a fabulous time at our World Culture Day yesterday. Thank you to everyone who dressed up, you looked great!

🏃‍♀️☀️ Sports Day 2025! 🏅🎉 What an incredible day of energy, teamwork and school spirit! From sprints to relays, every student gave it their all. Huge well done to everyone who took part and cheered from the side-lines.

Mural artist, Megan Russell, aka the award winning Peachzz, came to visit Parkside to work with some art students, to prepare for a mural that will be painted in the centre of Chesterfield.

🌟 What a magical performance! Our talented Year 7s brought Alice in Wonderland to life for their peers — and it was absolutely brilliant! 🎭✨ The energy, creativity, and fun were off the charts. We’re so proud of every student who took part! 💫

On Friday over 200 of our students visited Alton Towers as part of our rewards trip. A huge thanks to all the staff and students for making it such a lovely day!

Congratulations to our prize draw winners today. Student reward points placed them into draws that saw the winners take home the following prizes: Bronze £25, Silver £50, Gold £75 and Platinum £100. Well done to all our winners. #rewards #congratulations

Y7 have completed their first piece of Textiles work, an animal cushion. Some fantastic ideas and brilliant end results. We have focused on hand sewing techniques and accurate measuring.

Y8 have completed their lamps this week. They have made the base in the workshop using timber, lampshade vacuum formed and decorated with CAD and soldered the electronics to make a functioning lamp.

Y9 have focused on Paper and Board this term and have designed and built a crazy golf hole. Students have then tested the products as a crazy golf course and evaluated the results.
