On this day to honor the #francophonie around the world, I would like to acknowledge ma grand- mère who raised me with #creole #french here in #NOLA. She is long gone, but my passion for #French has been with me my whole life. 🇫🇷

En cette Journée internationale de la Francophonie, continuons à la faire vivre, à la défendre et à l’aimer. La francophonie porte en elle l’héritage des siècles, le goût des nuances, la promesse du dialogue et l’idéal universaliste que nos écrivains n’ont cessé de porter, de Pascal à Hugo, de Senghor à Césaire. Notre langue progresse, elle rassemble et traverse les frontières comme un fleuve qui emporte des imaginaires et des cultures, des combats et des espérances : le monde. La langue française est un trésor. Alors lisons, partageons, enseignons et faisons rayonner la Cité internationale de la langue française à Villers-Cotterêts, cœur battant de cette francophonie dont nous pouvons être très fiers. Vive la langue française !
