@J4ckOfAllTradez @athiestboi Jesus being the messiah was predicted. we know from the dead sea scrolls they knew even the year He would be crucified. Jesus had to be of the line of David, born in Bethlehem.... no one could qualify now, it had to happen back then.

@Parsalog @athiestboi That's why if the Gospels say that Jesus was a messiah we can't be sure if that's something he said, someone said he said as an accusation so he could get him crucified or as a way to praise him for believing

@J4ckOfAllTradez @athiestboi Of course I believe the Bible 100% . translations can be a issue, but i don't doubt the Greek and Hebrew. The early church fathers did as well, Polycarp student of John. Irenaeus who was Polycarps student, and so on.

@Parsalog @athiestboi Let me guess, you believe 100% whatever the bible says? What's written is neither 100% false nor 100% true. It's a reflection of what's believed about the characters and about the events supposedly happened, or at least what the people who wrote believed

@Parsalog @athiestboi 1. Peter is illiterate as it's stated in Acts 4:13 and the letters are in Greek This is a problem not because someone wouldn't be able to learn at a high level a 2nd or even a 3rd language. The problem is that it is possible *today* Back in the day (to name it somehow) 🧵

@Obliquesin @_Mr_Richard to that point any pastor who claims they can heal any one is a problem. Bible is clear we have no power. all we can do is make request of God

Have you noticed that no Pastor has healed someone with HIV/AIDS before- just wait till scientists finds the cure, that’s when Pastors will be capable😹

@Parsalog @athiestboi 2. If we're following a calendar from the week of creation, then J-boy is 4.5 (~±1%) billion years late 3. People have been wondering for J-boy arrival for 2000 years, not 50 4. 2 Peter is agreed on to be forgery (2nd century) and not from Peter's hand (1st century)

@Parsalog @athiestboi It's hilarious the amount of logical jumps in the comment 1. According to your own books, no one knows the date (only the father). So, or that part is wrong or any estimation you could bring up is straight up wrong due the lack of certainty

If the Bible had power, nobody would have brought it to Africa. Nuclear we@pons possess power, and they kept it to themselves, and did not bring it to Africa.

The Bible doesn't say he needed Noah to build the ark. God likes to use His creation to achieve His will. Just think of a Father figure, does your dad "need" you to wash the dishes , or "want" you to wash the dishes. btw, the unicorns in the pic, that is a translation issue, from the 1828 Websters dictionary

If God can create anything just by speaking, why would He need a 500-year-old man to physically build an ark?

God is not limited to being "omnipresent" to know or see all things: The Bible never teaches a God trapped inside everything. The Scriptures repeatedly says God is a real Person who is located in heaven. —Eccl. 5:2. Deut. 26:15 By his holy spirit, he can see, reach, and act anywhere. God is powerful enough to rule over everything, without the limitations of being omnipresent. Omnipresence is another false teaching of the Trinity god.

2 Peter 3:8 ....one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. From what we understand and has played out, there is a "week" of creation . So 7000 years. The last 1000 years are peace. According to the Essene calendar (which predicted the year of Jesus crucifixion) we ae in the last "age" or 50 years. 50 years left, to answer "coming soon". You are fulfilling prophecy, same chapter: 2Pe 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

If abortion is "playing God," so is chemo, insulin, and C-sections. Funny how only women's medical choices get called sacrilegious.

Daniel Dennett argues that the danger of religion is not simply that people believe things. It is that faith can become an excuse to stop questioning. To stop thinking.
