Almost always, the market has moved up more than 1-2% when the party in the centre wins state assembly elections, especially in critical states like West Bengal. It shows stability for the future, and the market thrives with a stable government.
But today has been the complete opposite - it has hardly moved by half a percent, with Bank Nifty even going in the red.
The market knows something that we don't.
