Usual obfuscatory nonsense from BoJo. Here are the actual legal net migration stats for the relevant years:
2019: +184,000 (pre-pandemic)
2020: +93,000 (so almost 100k despite pandemic restrictions)
2021: +467,000 (post-pandemic bounce)
2022: +891,000 (now he’s lost control of the numbers)
2023: +848,000 (his successors fail to get control of what he left behind)
2024: +331,000 (falling at last — but still about 150,000 pre-pandemic 20199)

Disingenuous to blame civil servants for the Boriswave. In June 2022, net migration was 764,000- unprecedented at the time. I arrived at the Home Office in September 2022 to find legal migration out of control. I set out a clear plan to cut the numbers quickly. Civil servants were exceptionally helpful in building that plan with me. It was Conservative MINISTERS who blocked my plan for over a year. The plan was eventually delivered in November 2023- 1 year later, which was far too late and after the damage had been done. The migration crisis was the Greatest Betrayal by the last Conservative government.

You don’t even have your records viewable across Trusts.

@Stevo71Tate @DrRJSimpson Why, in Scotland, can’t the NHS Fife system communicate with the NHS Lothians one? I had to do two trips to A&E on the same day as I stupidly broke a bone in Fife but lived in Edinburgh and would need aftercare there. It’s supposed to be NHS Scotland but clearly not

@barneymcg999 @DrRJSimpson You’re lucky! I’m in Scotland and I have to fill out a form in the GP website which is then keyed into a different system so that it produces the prescription that the doctor has to sign. Ridiculous
