From a beautiful modern estate in Uxbridge to a cottage that is accessible only by boat in Kawartha Lakes, to filming agent intros on horseback in Hampton Clarington, it’s was a pretty exciting day of capturing real estate listings!

Instead of shipping billions in cash to Ukraine for them to buy materials abroad, why not have Canadians build those supplies right here at home? We create good-paying jobs for Canadian workers, then donate the actual goods to Ukraine. Win-win for Canada and Ukraine. 🇨🇦🇺🇦 Who else thinks this makes way more sense?

Cross reference with the below data and update your list. 1. Oracle
Rumored/planned cuts of up to 30,000 jobs to free up capital for massive AI data-center buildout. One of the largest potential single rounds still on the horizon. 2. Salesforce
Already trimming and explicitly replacing some customer-service roles with AI agents; additional thousands expected as it doubles down on AI efficiency (prior rounds already in the 4k–5k range). 3. Citi
Mid-plan to eliminate ~20,000 roles (10% of workforce) through 2026; more cuts confirmed to continue this year as part of broad restructuring. 4. Verizon
Multiple WARN filings for 2026; telecom sector is actively paring down amid competition and AI/automation shifts. 5. Nike
WARN notices filed; retail/tech hybrid facing pressure to streamline operations and invest in AI-driven supply chain and marketing tools. 6. Mastercard
Explicitly announced ~4% global workforce reduction as part of efficiency and modernization push. 7. T-Mobile
Already in a multi-phase cut cycle; telecom infrastructure and back-office roles continue to be targeted for consolidation and AI tools. 8. eBay
Just confirmed ~800 roles (6%); analysts expect further trims as the company reallocates to AI-powered marketplace features. 9. British American Tobacco
Launched an AI-driven productivity program in February 2026 explicitly expected to deliver job cuts (scale not yet quantified but flagged as significant). 10. Accenture
Large-scale AI-focused restructuring already underway with at least 11,000 impacted; consulting/services firms are prime for “do more with less” via AI. Quick context on why these are the most likely “next” • AI anticipation (not just current performance) is now the dominant driver — executives are cutting in advance of tools that can handle layers of white-collar work. • Block’s 40–50% cut and Dorsey’s statement that “most companies will do the same” accelerated market expectations; stocks of lean-AI players (including Block) jumped today. • Sectors hit hardest so far: big tech/cloud, fintech/payments, consulting, telecom, retail/logistics, and anything with heavy middle-management or repeatable knowledge work. • WARN filings + earnings-season pressure mean announcements often cluster in March–May. Other companies frequently mentioned in the broader 100+ WARN pool (Amazon continuing corporate cuts, Dow already executing 4,500, Meta trimming Reality Labs again, Pinterest post-15% AI pivot, etc.) are already deep into their rounds, so the “next wave” spotlight shifts to the ones above that still have large unannounced or phased portions ahead. The environment is fluid — earnings reports, Q1 guidance, and any new AI-tool breakthroughs could accelerate or shift the order.

Following Block's massive AI-driven cuts, here's my speculative top 10 companies likely next for significant layoffs, based on 2026 trends from Reuters, Business Insider, and Challenger reports (AI efficiency, bureaucracy reduction, pivots): 1. Alphabet (Google) 2. Microsoft 3. Salesforce 4. PayPal 5. Uber 6. Adobe 7. Cisco 8. Oracle 9. IBM 10. Apple These mirror Block's shift to smaller AI-powered teams. Pure speculation—actuals depend on earnings and markets. Thoughts?

we're making @blocks smaller today. here's my note to the company. #### today we're making one of the hardest decisions in the history of our company: we're reducing our organization by nearly half, from over 10,000 people to just under 6,000. that means over 4,000 of you are being asked to leave or entering into consultation. i'll be straight about what's happening, why, and what it means for everyone. first off, if you're one of the people affected, you'll receive your salary for 20 weeks + 1 week per year of tenure, equity vested through the end of may, 6 months of health care, your corporate devices, and $5,000 to put toward whatever you need to help you in this transition (if you’re outside the U.S. you’ll receive similar support but exact details are going to vary based on local requirements). i want you to know that before anything else. everyone will be notified today, whether you're being asked to leave, entering consultation, or asked to stay. we're not making this decision because we're in trouble. our business is strong. gross profit continues to grow, we continue to serve more and more customers, and profitability is improving. but something has changed. we're already seeing that the intelligence tools we’re creating and using, paired with smaller and flatter teams, are enabling a new way of working which fundamentally changes what it means to build and run a company. and that's accelerating rapidly. i had two options: cut gradually over months or years as this shift plays out, or be honest about where we are and act on it now. i chose the latter. repeated rounds of cuts are destructive to morale, to focus, and to the trust that customers and shareholders place in our ability to lead. i'd rather take a hard, clear action now and build from a position we believe in than manage a slow reduction of people toward the same outcome. a smaller company also gives us the space to grow our business the right way, on our own terms, instead of constantly reacting to market pressures. a decision at this scale carries risk. but so does standing still. we've done a full review to determine the roles and people we require to reliably grow the business from here, and we've pressure-tested those decisions from multiple angles. i accept that we may have gotten some of them wrong, and we've built in flexibility to account for that, and do the right thing for our customers. we're not going to just disappear people from slack and email and pretend they were never here. communication channels will stay open through thursday evening (pacific) so everyone can say goodbye properly, and share whatever you wish. i'll also be hosting a live video session to thank everyone at 3:35pm pacific. i know doing it this way might feel awkward. i'd rather it feel awkward and human than efficient and cold. to those of you leaving…i’m grateful for you, and i’m sorry to put you through this. you built what this company is today. that's a fact that i'll honor forever. this decision is not a reflection of what you contributed. you will be a great contributor to any organization going forward. to those staying…i made this decision, and i'll own it. what i'm asking of you is to build with me. we're going to build this company with intelligence at the core of everything we do. how we work, how we create, how we serve our customers. our customers will feel this shift too, and we're going to help them navigate it: towards a future where they can build their own features directly, composed of our capabilities and served through our interfaces. that's what i'm focused on now. expect a note from me tomorrow. jack

Meet Paula: 24 Years of Passion Behind Healthy Meats – Now Available for Sale in Downtown Whitby! Join Paula, the dedicated owner and founder of Healthy Meats, as she opens up about her incredible 24-year journey building one of Durham Region's most trusted and beloved meat markets. Located at the heart of downtown Whitby (121 Brock St N), this family-owned gem has been serving the community since 2003 with premium, traceable-from-farm-to-fork meats; organic, sustainably raised, antibiotic- and hormone-free, no steroids, dyes, or water injection. From grass-fed beef and bison to free-range chicken, pork, lamb, and more, Healthy Meats has earned its reputation as the go-to spot for quality-conscious customers who value humane farming and local sourcing. Now, after more than two decades of success, Paula is ready to pass the torch to a new owner who shares her commitment to excellence. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a turn-key, highly reputable retail business in a prime downtown location — perfectly positioned in the growing demand for healthy, ethical food options. In this video, we showcase how professional photography and storytelling video bring listings to life, helping serious buyers envision the future while honouring the legacy. One key takeaway for any business owner considering a sale: Embracing transparency can dramatically improve your success rate. Many hesitate to publicize a business for sale due to fears of losing customers; but the reality is, listings on MLS are public, and motivated buyers (especially in commercial real estate) actively watch for fresh opportunities like this one. Removing the stigma and sharing the story openly often attracts the right buyer faster. Ready to own a thriving, community staple? 👉 Check the full listing details for contact info on the MLS (ID: E12606026). 👉 Visit: healthymeats.ca 📍 Downtown Whitby, Ontario If you're buying or selling a business in the GTA/Durham Region, like this video and follow me for more behind-the-scenes tours, success stories, and commercial real estate insights! #BusinessForSale #WhitbyBusiness #HealthyMeats #DowntownWhitby #BuyABusiness #CommercialRealEstate #FarmToFork #ShopLocal #OntarioBusiness #MeatMarketForSale
